The broad asset allocation is to be 30% invested in growth assets (shares, property) and 70% in defensive assets (fixed interest, cash). Allocations are reviewed regularly although changes are infrequent, and a reallocation would only be considered in response to a fundamental change in long-term expectations or market demand. We seek to add value through a disciplined approach to selection of the shares and other assets held by the option. For risk management purposes, the option indexes part of its global share exposure and may partially hedge currency risk.
